Quantity and Physicochemical Analysis of Biodiesel from CPO Processed by Electrolysis Method

Biodiesel is produced by esterification-transesterification, using alcohol as a reactant and acid base catalysts. Electrocatalyst method to increase production yield utilizing H+ OH– ions catalyst. This study aims investigate the biodiesel process through esterification-transesterification reaction analyze physicochemistry of from CPO electrolysis platinum electrodes. was esterified-transesterified then analyzed biodiesel. Rsults showed that highest at voltage 6 V, which 88.67%, lowest value moisture content 12 V are 0.99 mgKOH/g 0.75%, kinematic viscosity met SNI standards resulted in without use electrolysis, namely 3.53 cSt 3.63 cSt, flash point for 109 ° C.
